Work Schedule:

3 hour shifts the day before and the day of the Fair: Friday, April 27 and Saturday, April 28, 2012.

Goals:

Offer novice to experienced gardeners the information and local resources needed to garden responsibly and successfully in the challenging Santa Fe environment.

Looking for Volunteers who . . .

If you are interested in giving an educational demonstration or have ideas about topics or other people who might be willing to do one, contact Laurie (lmcgrath@swcp.com).
Donate garden treasures for sale at the Garden Shed: pots, tools, garden art, bird houses, plant stands, or any other gently used gardening items. Contact Ellen Snyder (elreph@comcast.net).
Donate plants from your yard to the Plant Sale. Contact Bob Zimmerman (rzim@q.com). You can still dig up raspberry bushes, and think about what could be dug up in March.
Fair assignments include setting up the exhibit halls, decorating the building interiors, directing parking, helping with plant sale, or staffing the "Ask a Master Gardener" table.

Reporting Hours:

Public Contact (PC) - for staffing "Ask a Master Gardener" table.
Organizational support (ORG) - for your labor in running the fair smoothly.
Continuing Ed (CE) - for attending lectures

Garden Fair

Annual Master Gardener's Association Garden Fair, to be held on Saturday, April 28, 2012, from 10AM–4PM. The Fair includes speakers, exhibits, MGA Demonstrations and Info Booth, and a Xeric and Native Plant Sale. It is a FUN day and a great way to meet and work with other students, interns and Master Gardeners. There will be local experts, representatives from clubs and societies, greenhouses and nurseries – all under one roof for the gardening public.
