Description:
The Hoop House, built as a demonstration project, is used to teach and experiment with plant propagation techniques.
Location:
Just behind the Herb Garden adjacent to the County Extension Building on Rodeo Road
Goal:
To grow plants for the Garden Fair Plant Sale, door prizes at SFMGA events, and the Santa Fe Demonstration Garden. Beautify the County Fairgrounds.
Looking for volunteers who:
Want to learn more about plant propagation from seeds in a greenhouse environment. This project grows plants for the Garden Fair and is currently scheduling work sessions February through April.
Work Schedule:
Times to be announced. There will be signups for twice weekly checking and watering through February. We will need to check the young plants almost daily when the weather warms.
Additional Info:
Do you have seeds you want to experiment with? Bring them to the planting sessions.
