Public gardening answers at the Santa Fe Greenhouses (SFGH)
Location:
Santa Fe Greenhouses at 2904 Rufina Street
Goal:
Educate the public about Santa Fe gardening. Inform them about SFMGA. Attract new members.
Looking for volunteers who…
…can staff the booth in 2 or 4-hour shifts, answer questions about general gardening and about the SFMGA program. Speak with people from all over the country; refer them to the demonstration garden areas, specific plant areas, or, if needed, to SFGH staff. Where answers are not immediately known, take contact info for followup. Track these questions. Take down our materials at the end of the shift.
Work Schedule:
Saturdays 9AM-noon, approximately April 26 through July 12, 2008
Additional Info:
  • Certified MG swill receive a Gift Certificate for volunteering.
  • SFMGA supplies most of the reference material, but if you have a favorite gardening reference, bring it.
  • I will call you a few days before your scheduled date to answer your questions and to provide setup information.
  • Bring water and a hat.
